How to install the Facebook Sidebar Gadget on windows XP.

First off, run all windows updates and make sure Internet explorer 7 is also installed:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/downloads/ie/getitnow.mspx

After that is installed, download:
www.facebooksidebargadget.com/fvg-xp.zip

unzip and enter the “Ricks_WindowsSidebar_AlkyXP1.1_AddOn” folder
Enter svcpack folder
Install alky_xp.exe

Right mousebutton on sidebar.inf (in main package folder), select install.
(it might give you errors , but they will be removed after restart).

GadgetInstallerSetup folder
Install setup.exe (and install .net framework 2.0).

After this you can download the gadget:
www.facebooksidebargadget.com/fVgadget.exe
